9002 : 1994 Certification

Very few Greek Wineries are certified. But the Papantonis Winery has been implementing the ISO Quality Management System and the Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) system since March of 2001.
The above certifications – ISO 9002 and the HACCP accreditation – were issued by the American company ABS GROUP with head offices in Houston, Texas. These systems guarantee the high quality of Papantonis wines, their marketing, as well as the protection of their consumers.
Japan International

The Papantonis Winery received exceptionally positive compliments and abundant praise in Japan where the red agiorgitiko Meden Agan was awarded the Seal of Approval by the Tasting Panel at the 1999 Japan International Wine Challenge which was held in Tokyo.
The competition was organized by the magazine “WINE" and other internationally reknown experts.
A total of 1,500 wines from the best wine-producing regions
of the world took part in the afore - mentioned competition,
before a critical committee consisting of some of the most
noteworthy tasters in the world.
This new distinction for Meden Again, following its entrance into the auction house of Christie’s in London and the favorable comments of the New York Times in a special article devoted to the wine, strengthen the efforts of the Papantonis Winery to further improve their products.
“Our aim is that Meden Again should remain one of the best ambassadors of the rich vinicultural history of Greece to the international markets," reflects owner Kallie Papantonis.
For this reason, during the past nine years, the Papantonis Winery works tirelessly and enthusiastically, placing great emphasis on every aspect of production – from the careful selection of raw materials to the personal approach applied to their customers.
