July 2002: Wine club visit

Wine
Plus is a wine club of Thessalonica, which brings together
wine producers and wine consumers in order to educate people
in wine drinking and generally in gastronomy. Left is a photo
of the visit at our winery from this club, which took place
in July 2002.
May 2002: Kinder garden visit

This
is a local Kindergarten class,
which visited our winery in May 2002. It is amazing how interested
the children are in learning the method of wine making. They
came prepared with many questions and then later entertained
us with some songs.
We believe that this is the future of Greece and have to be
well educated from this age for their consuming habits.
Summer 2000: Musical Night

Something
very nice and unique happened in the winery of Papantonis,
in conjunction with the Institut
Francais de Athenes - Annexe d'Argos, on the 7th of
June. About two hundred people got together and enjoy an enthralling
union of French music and Greek Aghiorghitiko wine - Meden
Agan. Lamia Bedioui
accompanied by Caroline Page
on the piano, sang a selection of the best French melodies
spanning a period of four decades, 1930 - 1970. The program
of the two distinguished artists included music and lyrics
by Brassens, Piaf, Montand. Mistinguett, Satie, Prever, Lucienne
Delyle, Aznavour, Brel...
This cultural event was attended by several notable wine producers
from Greece and the rest of Europe. To quote Kallie
Papantonis, responsible for public relations and marketing,
"The success of our oeno-musical evening proved that
the premises of a modern winery can be the best venue for
a genuine Dionysiac communion of wine and music to take place".
